Sticky Fingers: Solution

The Solution

You’ve guessed who took the wing by now.
But do you know why? And do you know how?
Let’s go back and we’ll look and see
If you and Tootsie Chase agree.

Laura likes chocolate, we know this is true.
But, messy fingers just won’t do.
When she eats chocolate it’s very rare
That traces of chocolate are anywhere.

So, it wasn’t Laura, on that we agree.
That leaves two suspects instead of three.
But, would Timothy Thomas take just one wing?
If he was the one, he’d take the whole thing.

Now, Jason is hiding and we don’t know where,
And we saw chocolate fingers when he pushed back hair.
He left chocolate prints on the window, himself.
Like the chocolate prints I saw on the shelf.

But wait, here comes Jason and he has the wing,
And in his left hand he holds one more thing.
Money he’d saved to buy a new bug.
Mrs. Kingsley bent down and gave him a hug.

“I just wanted to look at the beetle,” he said.
Then he shrugged his shoulders and shook his head.
“I didn’t mean to break the wing,
’Cause I know Mrs. Kingsley loves that thing.”

“I’ll make a new one, that’s what I’ll do,”
Mrs. Kingsley said, “Then I’ll make one for you.
But it will be smaller and I’ll make some more,
To sell right here in my candy store.”

So, sticky fingers solved the case
For the Private Detective, Tootsie Chase.
And if you picked Jason, you’re very good.
You followed the clues like I knew you would.

Now that you’re here at the Tootsie Chase site,
There are other mysteries that you might
Want to read and solve the case,
With Private Detective, Tootsie Chase.
